Our Story so far...
Hi, we started our journey as chefs running a highly successful catering business. Our passion for food led us to specializing in cakes and patisserie. We began The Little Black Bear Bakery in 2005 at food, craft shows and other events, with our fresh cakes, pastries, brownies, and pies.
All of our cakes are handcrafted and baked in our new barn converted 5-star rated suite of kitchens which is where the bakery now lives along with The Chef’s Pantry.
We want our customers to experience all the flavour of our homemade cakes. We are passionate about what we do, from soaking our fruit overnight so they are at their plumpest to steaming our Christmas puddings, so they are dark, rich and ready to enjoy.
All our baked goods are handmade, aswell as the jams, marmalades, and chutneys that we use. Our recipes are inspired by old family recipes, the latest food trends and perfecting our range over many successful years. Wherever possible, we will use natural flavourings and colourings in our goods, which also have no additional preservatives.

Storage Information:
Our baked good are all baked fresh, when unwrapped, they should be stored in an airtight container, in which they will last 3 to 5 days unless specified otherwise.
All of our cakes can be frozen, wrapped well, they will last 3 months in the freezer.
Delivery Information:
We ship next day so your cake arrives fresh and gives the cake its longest time for you to enjoy it.
Our baked goods are shipped out Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, Orders placed after 1pm on Thursday will be dispatched on Monday.
If you need your baked goods for a special occasion or a specific date, please contact us in advanced before placing your order.
Returns and Exchanges:
Due the nature of our products, we cannot accept returns or exchanges. If there is a problem with your order, please contact us as soon as possible.
